BEFORE YOU BOOK
Service information and responsibilities
Accounts and sign-in
Students, parents or guardians and tutors sign in with ChatGPT. TutorLink does not issue a separate password. Manage password recovery through your ChatGPT account’s sign-in provider. Use the same account when returning to view saved records.
Prices, payment and receipts
Registration and applications do not charge you. A lesson request is not a confirmed booking. Review the tutor, UTC schedule, local time and total price before accepting a quote. For NGN quotes, pay the exact quoted amount on Flutterwave, then report the transaction reference. TutorLink manually verifies payment before confirming the lesson. A downloadable payment acknowledgement is available after verification. Tutor payouts and refunds are processed externally and recorded by the owner.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
Cancel an unpaid request from My lesson requests. If you have already paid, use Booking support before the lesson where possible. Do not submit a second payment while a change is under review. A reschedule requires an agreed replacement quote or schedule and tutor availability. Refund requests are reviewed against the agreed booking arrangements and services delivered. A request does not itself cancel a paid lesson, confirm a refund or move money. The owner will communicate the decision and any transaction reference.
Privacy and files
TutorLink stores account identifiers, contact and learning preferences, applications, private résumés, assessment results, booking details, payment references and support messages to deliver and manage the service. Only approved public tutor profile fields appear in the directory. Assigned tutors see the lesson information needed for delivery. Authorised administrators review operational records. Payments take place on Flutterwave; do not enter card numbers or bank passwords on TutorLink. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion. Some financial records may need to be retained for accounting. Saved tutor favourites use browser storage and are specific to your device. ChatGPT, Flutterwave and hosting providers process relevant data under their own terms.
Safeguarding and respectful learning
An adult must register and manage bookings for a learner under 18. Agree parent or guardian involvement, communication and venue arrangements before accepting a lesson. Use professional, respectful communication. Do not request private meetings with children or exchange unnecessary personal information. Report inappropriate conduct immediately to TutorLink; contact local emergency or child-protection services where there is immediate danger. Application approval is not a criminal-background-check certification. The owner must check suitability for the intended learner and lesson setting.
Learning integrity and lesson delivery
Tutoring supports learning and independent work. Tutors must not sit examinations or submit assessed work on a learner’s behalf. Confirmed lessons show meeting or venue details when the owner adds them. Download a calendar reminder from your booking. Automated email or SMS reminders are not currently provided. Do not record a lesson without everyone’s appropriate permission. Tell support promptly if a tutor fails to attend or a lesson cannot proceed.
